Dear Guest,
Welcome to ArtWireLace©World!
Welcome to the ArtWireLace©World!
I'm Yulia, a passionate crafter and ArtWireLace© founder. Next to me is my sister Asya. The ArtWireLace© adventure is dedicated to Asya. It's about the hook, the wire and the loop. Ever since I was young, I have been fascinated with the look and design of lace. I always wanted to capture the beauty of it in wire jewellery. And finally, after much experimentation, my dream has come true... I found a way to create filigree patterns using a crochet hook and craft wire.
I called it ArtWireLace©.
My creations are unique, they are one off items.
I personally design and hand crochet every piece of jewellery you find on my website and on social media.
I hope you like what you will see. Please honour me by purchasing my creations.
You can also learn how to crochet filigree patterns from wire. Thank you for stopping by...
Always with love,

Learn to Crochet Wire
After years of gathering stories from experts in the craft and conducting my own research, I've discovered how to master the art of creating filigree patterns from wire and make the experience enjoyable. Instead of traditional "crocheting" or "knitting," I've introduced the term "CroShaping"© to describe the ArtWireLace© technique. This involves creating crochet and knit patterns, while also shaping them with a crochet hook and awl.
If you're interested in CroShaping, here are some "keys to success" to keep in mind:
The right tools and materials are essential. Experienced crafters recommend using a small size iron hook and 0.3mm enamelled copper wire.
Mastering the technique is crucial. While traditional yarn crochet skills are a good starting point, it's important to understand how to overcome the wire's rigidity to shape loops. Unfortunately, there aren't many tools for beginners to help with this.
Practice is key. Start with a small project, such as crocheting a simple "chain," to master your skills. Then, move on to more complex patterns and shapes. Finally, try making a small piece of jewelry, like a bracelet.
I wish you the best of luck in your CroShaping endeavors. Bon voyage!
Keys to Success:
1. Use quality tools and materials.
2. Master wire loops shaping skills.
3. Start with a small project.
Getting Started
To get the most out of ArtWireLace©, it's important to understand the three key elements that make it unique. Each plays a vital role in the artistic process, and mastering them will help you to progress in practical sessions.
*The First Element: ART*
At the heart of ArtWireLace© is the art of shaping wire loops. The technique itself is new and exciting, with more than ten different ways to shape wire loops and produce incredible filigree wire patterns. I call this technique CroShape© or "Pilates with the Hook" as it's reminded me moving and stretching process in Pilates.
To be shaped, the wire loops have to be "anchored". I created a special tool called "Tool on Spool"© or TonS©. Not only does TonS© anchor wire loops, but it also holds up to 70m of craft wire.
*The Second Element: WIRE*
Choosing the right materials and tools is key to creating the best filigree wire patterns. Good quality wire is essential, as it needs to be strong enough to withstand the pressure of shaping while still being soft enough for looping. I test every batch of wire to ensure its quality. I also developed the method to test the wire suitability for CroShaping©. Its called Breaking Point Test or BPT©
*The Third Element: LACE*
The final element is the result or product of your work. Over the years, I've created more than 20 collections of filigree jewellery and ornaments inspired by nature and love. The quality and look of ArtWireLace© products are exceptional, and the CroShaping technique is easy to follow. There's an endless variety of ArtWireLace© patterns to suit the most demanding projects.
I've documented the entire process in different tutorials so that anyone can follow and learn. To get started, simply choose one of the kits available in the store. Each kit contains all the essentials you need to get started, progress, and succeed with the project of your choice.
